The Manitoba Prior Learning Assessment Network (MPLAN) can help. Connect with a network of Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Practitioners that:
* Support and promote the recognition of prior learning in a variety of settings
* Monitor provincial education and training trends and policies
* Assist in the development of provincial strategy and respond to issues that may impact the Recognition of Prior Learning
* Advocate for quality Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) practices
* Provide consultations regarding Provincial and National PLAR strategies
* Support research relevant to PLAR
Meetings
We have an active program planning committee that generally coordinates 5 meetings per year, including topical presentations by keynote speakers, 2 to 3 workshops per year and other learning and networking events.
What is PLAR and Why is it Important?
Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) is a process that involves the identification, documentation, assessment and recognition of learning acquired through formal and informal study. This process can help to promote organizational, personal and career goals and enhance the quality of community life.
Membership

* Membership year is June 1 to May 31
* Individual Membership Fee
o $24 / 1 year, or
o $48 / 2 years
* Organizational Membership (a single vote, includes up to 15 members)
o $120 / 1 year, or
o $240 / 2 years
* Can join at anytime Fees are prorated after Dec 1
