MPLAN is pleased to offer a scholarship through Red River College for registered participants taking any one of the courses offered in the RPL Practitioner Certificate Program. An award of $400.00 will be granted to a successful applicant annually. The award will be administered through the Student Awards and Financial Aid Student Service Centre, Red River College and will be applied toward tuition fees.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to foster professionalism in the practice of Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) or Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) and to enhance a community of professional practitioners in Manitoba. The scholarship is available to Manitoba residents who are embarking on studies or have partially completed studies in this certificate program.

Applications will be accepted between October 1 and March 15 of each year. The successful applicant will be informed by letter and will be invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (held in the spring) to be acknowledged and awarded a one-year membership to MPLAN.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Must be a resident of Manitoba
  2. Must submit a 250 word essay with the application
  3. Must be willing to complete a course within 12 months between June and June of the year awarded or forfeit the award
